Quinton de Kock Joins the Elite 3000 IPL Runs Club

In the exhilarating world of cricket, milestones are the markers of greatness, and Quinton de Kock, the sensational South African batter, has just carved his name among the elites. During a thrilling clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, de Kock achieved a significant feat – he reached 3000 runs in the IPL.

At 31 years old, de Kock accomplished this remarkable milestone in his 99th IPL game, showcasing his consistency and prowess with the bat. It was a moment of anticipation as he began the match just 35 runs shy of the magical 3000 mark. However, in his typical explosive style, he smashed four fours and two sixes in just 22 balls, demonstrating his ability to dominate the game from the get-go.

Throughout the match, de Kock’s performance was nothing short of spectacular. Partnering with KL Rahul, he added 53 runs for the first wicket and then went on to contribute another 56 runs alongside Marcus Stoinis. His innings culminated in a magnificent 56-ball 81 runs, adorned with eight fours and five sixes, at an impressive strike rate of 144.64.

While this achievement stands as a testament to de Kock’s individual brilliance, it also places him in esteemed company on the list of top run-scorers in the IPL.  So, who else is on this prestigious list of players with over 3000 IPL runs? Here are a few of the other big names:
