New National Cricket Academy to be set up in Bengaluru

Indian cricket is set to enter a new era with the impending inauguration of the revamped National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. This world-class facility promises to be a game-changer, providing Indian cricketers with unparalleled resources to hone their skills and reach their full potential.

The brainchild of BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, the new NCA is a testament to the board’s commitment to nurturing cricketing talent in the country. The facility, spread across a sprawling 45 acres in Devanahalli Taluk, will boast an array of cutting-edge amenities that are sure to elevate Indian cricket to new heights.

At the heart of the new NCA will be 45 practice pitches, providing ample opportunity for cricketers to refine their batting, bowling, and fielding skills under expert guidance. The inclusion of indoor cricket pitches will ensure uninterrupted training, regardless of weather conditions.

Very excited to announce that the @BCCI’s new National Cricket Academy (NCA) is almost complete and will be opening shortly in Bengaluru. The new NCA will feature three world-class playing grounds, 45 practice pitches, indoor cricket pitches, an Olympic-size swimming pool and state-of-the-art training, recovery and sports science facilities.Jay Shah wrote in a social media post on Saturday.

This initiative will help our nation’s current and future cricketers develop their skills in the best possible environment!” wrote Shah in his post on ‘X’.

Recognizing the importance of physical fitness in modern cricket, the NCA will also feature an Olympic-sized swimming pool. This world-class facility will enable players to enhance their endurance, strength, and flexibility, crucial attributes for high-performance cricket.

Furthermore, the NCA will be equipped with state-of-the-art training, recovery, and sports science facilities. These cutting-edge resources will empower cricketers to optimize their performance, prevent injuries, and expedite their rehabilitation process.

The decision to construct a new NCA was driven by the need for expanded infrastructure to accommodate the growing demands of Indian cricket. The previous facility, located within the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, had limitations in terms of space and resources. The new NCA will address these challenges and provide a conducive environment for players to thrive.

The establishment of this world-class facility is a significant milestone for Indian cricket. It reflects the BCCI’s unwavering dedication to creating a robust cricket ecosystem that supports the growth and development of players at all levels. With the new NCA set to open its doors soon, the future of Indian cricket looks brighter than ever.

As the countdown to the inauguration begins, the cricketing fraternity eagerly awaits the unveiling of this architectural marvel. The new NCA is poised to become a hub for cricketing excellence, producing world-class cricketers who will proudly represent India on the global stage.

The BCCI’s visionary leadership, coupled with the state-of-the-art infrastructure, promises to usher in a golden era for Indian cricket.
